To take advantage of the 8K first time buyers tax credit, you need to be under contract by April 30th. So, decision time has come....
Remember the contract must close by June 30th. Some new construction homes still qualify, so don’t forget to explore that great option!
For members of the military, foreign service and intelligence communities may have an additional year to buy a home and claim the homebuyer tax credit. To qualify for the extended credit deadline, service members must have served an official extended duty outside the US for 90 days or more any time between Jan 1, 2009 and April 30, 2010.
