The First Orlando Foreclosure Bus Tour Exceeds Expectations

The first Orlando Foreclosure Bus Tour far exceeded the expectations of Z House Realty Group and the customers who attended. In fact, one first-time homebuyer, who chose to spend her birthday on the bus, e-mailed me to share “I enjoyed the bus tour very much! I think I had information overload and learned a lot!” The tour is geared towards educating consumers on the various types of real estate in today’s market: short sales, pre-foreclosure, REO’s (bank-owned), new construction or standard resale transactions. The tour covers the legalities, financing options and “what to watch for” from an inspectors point of view and “Save Our Homes – How to Avoid Foreclosure.”
In addition to the incredible amount of knowledge being taught while riding from bank-owned property to bank-owned property, the attendee’s are given the chance throughout the day, to mingle with and ask questions of, experts in various real estate related fields. While the first bus covered properties, ranging in price from 154K to the mid 300”s, future tours will target more specific price ranges.

A real estate attorney will be on hand at the beginning and end of the day to answer any questions on the legalities of purchasing foreclosure properties. In addition, mortgage bankers and brokers will be available to pre-qualify or review current lending programs. This comprehensive tour is geared to those who are looking to take advantage of the recent interest rate drops and those whom wish to make the most of the current real estate market.
The biggest surprise to most individuals who have not previously viewed foreclosure homes tends to be the condition of the home. Many foreclosure properties have been stripped of appliances and light fixtures, often many outlet covers have been removed. Foreclosure properties do not have Seller’s Disclosures. It is advised that the purchaser have a title company do a preliminary title search to check for potential liens on the home, as the new owner will inherit them.
One item that Z House Realty Group would like readers to understand is that while some foreclosure properties do offer excellent investment options, if you do your research (or allow a professional Realtor to work on your behalf to do so), many sellers are offering deals competitive to Bank Owned homes.
